Radisson SAS Hotel Description

The Radisson SAS Hotel stands on Rusland Street, named after `Ruysch-land' a merchant who owned land in this area in the 15th century. It is housed in several 18th century merchant houses, a former paper factory and a 19th century vicarage, all renovated to create a very modern property. The lobby features a 7-storey atrium with a ‘garden terrace’ and a waterfall. Decorated with either Art Deco, Scandinavian or Maritime themes, the 242 guestrooms offer the comforts, decor and amenities expected from this class of hotel. They are all in very good condition, as are the en suite marble bathrooms. Built in 1742, originally a Bible shop and later a famous grocery store, the hotel’s De Palmboom restaurant has an authentic and casual atmosphere. Its contemporary kitchen offers monthly specialities inspired by cuisine from around the world, alongside classic dishes. Ensconced in the atrium of the hotel, the Pastorie Bar used to be a 19th century vicarage. It serves a wide variety of beers, wine, cocktails and light meals in a classic old Dutch setting.
