The Dylan is a boutique hotel housed in an exceptional 17th century landmark townhouse on ‘Keizersgracht’, one of the city’s famous canals, creating a stylish residence for every purpose. There is an attractive courtyard leading to the entrance of the property, which is very discreet and not obvious from the outside. The hotel’s interior design is by Anouska Hempel. The intimate lobby features a marble floor and leads to a reception area, where guests can sit on comfortable bench-like seats whilst checking in. The hardwood floors and beautiful flowers in this area conspire to create a feeling of calm and tranquillity. The 41 guestrooms are appointed in a blend of European and Oriental styles, with bold colour schemes, Oriental furniture and potted orchids. Converted from an old bakery, complete with original ovens and exposed brickwork, the hotel's "Bakery" restaurant is currently one of the most talked about eateries in Amsterdam and serves Asian, French, and Italian specialities. In summer, guests can also dine in the tree-lined garden. Alternatively, the "Long Gallery" serves French and North African fusion cuisine for dinner and afternoon snacks.
