Rooms were quite basic for a 4star hotel. our bathroom had staining to the ceiling which did not look very inviting. We were situated on the fifth floor and the rooms above us echoed so loudly, we had three nights of sleep deprivation.

First room had no natural air and not air conditioning. Bathroom left a lot to be desired in cleanliness. Despite my offer to pay for an upgrade I was told that only room with a window that opened was of a lower grade and this was not true as we saw the windows open above us.

This was a wonderful hotel to stay in. It was so central. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and very obliging. The only thing I would say is that the heat in the room was unreal. Even though we had a fan we could not open the window and it was stifling in August.

Location is excellent. The rooms are small and the decor is very dated. However, you are within walking distance of everything so it is ideal for a sightseeing city break. If you are looking for a break where top class hotel facilities and comfort is important to you, go elsewhere. The staff were very friendly and there was plenty of choice for breakfast.
